Henrico County is a county in Virginia. The county was formerly called Henrico Shire. During the 2010 census, the county’s population was 306,935. The latest estimate from 2015 suggests that around 320,700 people now live in the region, making it the 5th biggest county in Virginia in terms of population size. Henrico is part of the Greater Richmond Region.
The county of Henrico surrounds the west, north and east sides of Richmond and is bounded by the James River and the Chickahominy River.
